LUXURY YOGA RETREAT
Uppermoor Farm, Peak District
Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2020
Laura will be hosting a luxury weekend yoga retreat in the beautiful Peak District in early Spring. The yoga retreat is designed to allow you time to not only indulge in a selection of relaxing and rejuvenating yoga classes that will boost your energy levels and help you find your inner calm, it also offers you the space to relax and have some time to yourself, or quality time with friends and family. Take a walk in the beautiful grounds or the surrounding countryside, curl up in your bed and read, or settle in the comfortable sofas in front of the stunning arched window in the Lighthouse Barn to chat with new friends or simply enjoy the view: a yoga retreat that is the perfect antidote to the long winter nights.
You will spend your yoga retreat in the Lighthouse Barn at the award-winning Uppermoor Farm in Parwich, just outside Ashbourne, surrounded by 70 acres of countryside with stunning views of the beautiful and restful Peak District.
Indulge yourself in a two-nights’ stay at the Lighthouse Barn with its stunningly designed bedrooms in beautiful, restful colours. The en-suite bathrooms are a guilty pleasure and bathrobes are available for all guests. There are six bedrooms available: four doubles/twins and two triple rooms.
On your yoga retreat, daily Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga sessions will take place in front of the amazing arched windows of the Lighthouse Barn. Laura always offers choices in her yoga classes to enable you to work to your own level, depending on how your body wants to move in the moment. Rise and Shine meditations will open your day, whilst restful and relaxing Ease into Sleep yoga nidras will gently guide you to bed.
The locally-sourced, fresh, vegetarian plant-based food will be made especially for you by your own chef who will use beautiful, natural organic ingredients for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please let us know if you have any allergies. Hot and cold drinks, fresh fruit and snacks will be available throughout the weekend.
Time for Yourself
Laura champions the importance of taking some time for yourself to engage in some self-care. So during your yoga retreat time is available when you can chose to go walking in the beautiful Peak District, or just around the farm; go back to bed for an indulgent afternoon nap; snuggle under your duvet to read a good book, experience a de-stressing treatment, or simply rest in the relaxing sofas of the Lighthouse Barn and talk to new friends … it’s your choice.
Laura’s Yoga Clinic
Laura will also be hosting a 60-minute informal Yoga Clinic on Saturday afternoon should anyone want to ask about any aspect of their yoga practice; maybe questions on specific poses or help with breath techniques, or maybe just drop in for a drink and a chat.
Should you fancy treating yourself further, Laura has invited the wonderful Nell Brooker to come along and provide her unique tension-releasing Acupressure Massage that includes energy re-balancing with Reiki and a guided visualisation : a truly unique and relaxing experience. Nell’s revitalising hand-blended aromatherapy coconut oil hand and arm treatments will also be on offer. Details of Nell’s treatments and prices will be available once you have reserved your place on the retreat.
